Our commitment to patient safety is our promise
April 24, 2020Members of the Community,
We are all facing unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Among these challenges are the feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and even fear, which may lead you and some others to delay urgent care that may be needed.
Over the last few weeks, Bon Secours, HCA Virginia and VCU Health pledged our partnership to work together in serving the greater Richmond area throughout this crisis. Together, we are committed to you, to your families and to our communities.
We want to reassure you that our hospitals and our other care sites are safe. We closely monitor the situation and evaluate the safety protocols and protection at each of our facilities. We base our practices on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Virginia Department of Health. Please do not delay urgent care you may need for any health problem. Contact your doctor or hospital for any urgent and immediate health issue you may have. Our promise to you today and every day is our commitment to patient safety.
Our hospital systems are devoted to this community, and we are prepared to care for you and your loved ones when you need us. Our commitment represents the privilege we have to play a vital part in keeping our friends and neighbors safe and in good health.
Sincerely,
Faraaz Yousuf, President, Bon Secours Richmond Market
Tim McManus, President, HCA Healthcare Capital Division
Melinda Hancock, Chief Administrative & Financial Officer, VCU Health
